Legacy Evolve Access (and Why You Might Want to Try the New Evolve First)

The Evolve authoring tool has been rebuilt from the ground up. On September 9, we launched a new, modern version of Evolve, designed to keep what made Legacy Evolve great while adding a faster, more intuitive authoring experience and setting the stage for upcoming innovations, including rich AI features and workflows.

While this new version is now the default for all new sign-ups, we understand some teams still need access to Legacy Evolve for specific workflows or features not yet available in the new version of Evolve.

You can request access to a new Legacy Evolve instance below, but first, we’d love for you to consider giving the new Evolve a look.

What's New in the Evolve Rebuild

  • Faster Authoring, Built for Scale: A modern WYSIWYG builder, updated Theme Builder, and custom templates make it easy to go from idea to polished content, fast.

  • AI-Ready Architecture: We rebuilt the course structure and backend so that AI can understand and support your content in new ways, paving the way for what’s next.

  • Improved Theming and Branding Controls: See changes as you make them with live previews and course-level overrides that give your team maximum flexibility.

  • Multilingual & Collaboration Enhancements: Streamlined localization, automatic backups, and a redesigned commenting experience make collaboration and global delivery even easier.

  • Intellum Platform Integration: Courses can be published seamlessly into the Intellum Platform via Cloud Sync, enabling deeper analytics and smarter workflows (coming soon).

The new Evolve is already a strong option for many teams, with additional features and new innovation coming rapidly after launch.

Legacy Evolve Still Available by Request

If you need access to Legacy Evolve to support specific use cases or features not yet available in the new version, we’ve got you covered.

You can request a new Legacy Evolve by following the steps below:

  1. Create a new trial: Sign up for a free trial of the new Evolve: https://billing.evolveauthoring.com/signup
  2. Go to the Intellum Support Portal: https://intellum.my.site.com/s/
  3. Sign in: Use the Log In link, the top right
    • If you forget your password, click “Forgot Your Password?” to reset your password.
  4. Open a Support Case: After signing in, create a new case with subject “Request: Convert a New Evolve instance into a Legacy Evolve instance”.
    • In the body of the request, include the preferred subdomain you want associated with your Legacy Evolve instance. Example: acme.evolvauthoring.com
    • For the Support Type, choose “Task”
    • For the Product, choose “Evolve Support”
  5. We convert your instance: A Support agent will convert your new Evolve instance into a Legacy Evolve instance.
  6. Watch for two emails:
    • Case confirmation from Support.
    • Automated message with your Legacy Evolve URL and Account Owner credentials. If you do not see it, check spam and whitelist intellum.com.
